Falmouth vips = school + COMMUNITY

For 33 years, VIPS has been facilitating partnerships between Falmouth community members, businesses, and organizations and our public schools. As a result, our students benefit from the extra knowledge, hands-on experiences, and expertise of the entire community.

Business Partners in Education Program

Since 1994, the Falmouth Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) Partner in Education program has been formally recognizing the efforts of businesses and individuals who have contributed to the Falmouth Public Schools and VIPS in various ways:  volunteering in classrooms, encouraging employees to volunteer, donating or offering services and/or materials at reduced cost, and event sponsorships, to name a few. VIPS helps create and/or facilitate a process through which a business' resources-knowledge, skills, time, space, or materials-can be shared.

Examples of successful partnerships include:
- local bank branches partnering with a school to help students learn applied math
  • - local scientific organizations partnering with a school or classroom to provide career and topic-specific speakers
    - local elder care facilities partnering with a neighborhood school to foster inter-generational relationships.

Through its Partners in Education program and other recognition programs, VIPS has recognized the following local businesses for their generosity and support:
