Falmouth VIPS celebrates 40 years of school-community partnerships!"Falmouth (VIPS executive director Tracey Crago and secretary Drawdé Geishecker know firsthand that the individuals who offer their diverse talents to the nonprofit organization all share one common trait—they care about students. The 2022-23 school year marks the 40th anniversary of Falmouth VIPS, which began as a concept in 1982 with the goal of strengthening partnerships between the school district and the community, and the implementation of eight academic tutors at Falmouth High School the following year. Over the past four decades, Falmouth VIPS has grown to boast nearly 1,000 volunteers logging more than 40,000 volunteer hours each year, at all seven schools in the district. It also serves as a statewide model."
